These gearboxes must be built from the transfer back, because to get to the gearbox, the transfer must be disassembled – This does NOT have a bolt off/on transfer.
You may have seen our segments on 4WDTV but basically these gearboxes have a design flaw which cause 6 main problems, all of which are caused by towing, 4WD’ing, or carrying heavy loads (work horse). This TowPack® gearbox & transfer addresses all 6 weaknesses which are:
1. Jumping out of 1st Gear
2. 3rd/4th Gear selection problems
3. 5th Gear selection or noise problems
4. Jumping out of 5th Gear
5. Jamming in gear
6. Loosing drive altogether

This is BRAND NEW TOWPACK® upgrade comes with with added 1.5ltrs extra oil capacity, together with CryoTuff® treatment on entire geartrain & transfer – (CryoTuff® treatment = Soaked at -300°F for a 24+ hour period then heated & cooled over a computer controlled tempering process for a further 28+ hours.) Comes with a 24 Months unlimited kms warranty
An example of the extra life you get out of these boxes is we had a customer who was using his ute with a drilling rig running from his transfer and he was going through a second-hand unit every 3 months and a brand new unit from Toyota every 9 months. We fitted our Towpack® GOLD gearbox/transfer and he got 23 months out of it which gave him a saving of over $7k but unfortunately he cooked it because he didn’t do a single oil change in that time !
