The gearbox has been designed to run an oil cooler via an internal oil pump, increasing oil capacity by 30% OMG How COOL is that?!!
CryoTuff® gearboxes are more expensive because the entire gearbox requires disassembly for the CryoTuff® treatment, then there’s the cost of the CryoTuff® treatment, and of course the labour to reassemble & paint housings ready for sale. The modified caseings are swapped out at the rebuild process.
These are ideal for vehicles carrying heavy loads or kitted out with accessories such as under body armour, bullbar, winch, large driving lights etc, which can redirect the natural airflow away from the gearbox area.
