This BRAND NEW gearbox addresses all issues with the inferior gearbox grade of bearings used in this German designed Getrag Gearbox with the addition of our awesome TOWPACK® UPGRADE to make towing a breeze in 5th Gear!!
These gearboxes from factory are made with inferior non-gearbox grade (C3) bearings which fail as early as 40,000kms if you tow or carry heavy loads, but their average lifespan is usually between 80,000-120,000kms. Most commonly the front cluster BEARING fails and takes out 5th & 6th gears which makes for an expensive rebuild.
These gearboxes are BRAND NEW then we use the upgraded bearings and the entire geartrain is cryogenically processed and heat tempered in a machine specifically designed to strengthen parts for NASA !! This changes the molecular structure of the steel, making them more fatigue resistant = more durable. Additionally, our TOWPACK® mods are 360 registered designed and MADE IN AUSTRALIA!
